WHAT IS FEBT?

The Balearic Business Federation of Transport, FEBT, formed on October 13, 1977, is the result of the union of six associations of freight and passenger transport companies, transport agencies and car rental without driver that currently They group more than 2,000 companies.

Its scope of action is limited to the Balearic Islands and represents the interests of the organizations and associated companies being its interlocutor before the Administration and before the workers' unions recognizing in this sense the representativeness of the whole sector.

It is present in all forums and institutions where decisions can be made that directly or indirectly affect the interests of the transport sector. It has representatives in the Balearic Transport Council, in the Arbitration Board of Transport, in the Chambers of Commerce of Mallorca, Ibiza and Menorca, in the Confederation of Business Associations of the Balearic Islands, CAEB, in the Balearic Economic and Social Council, ISBA , among other.

In addition, FEBT belongs to the national business organizations CETM (CONETRANS, CEFTRAL), CONFEBUS, FENEVAL, ANEA, UNALT from whose forums the interests of the sector are defended at a national and international level.

FEBT BUILDING

The FEBT acquired in 1992 the premises for the offices of 350 square meters, the Balearic Business Federation of Transport, adapted the facilities that were inaugurated on July 27, 1995 that houses its headquarters, training center and services.

Of the total built surface, 100 square meters are intended for training, with three classrooms with a total capacity for 50 students equipped with the latest generation of audiovisual and computer media, as well as comfortable furniture.

The space used is flexible, since two of the classrooms are connected with mobile panels, being able to modulate their capacity according to specific needs.

The rest of the useful area is dedicated to housing the different services provided by the federation:

  • Attention to the associate.
  • Insurance brokerage
  • Legal, tax and labor consultancy in the field of transport.
  • Training.
  • other products required for carrying out the transport activity.

Likewise, the institutional representation of the organization with spaces dedicated to its governing bodies is located in the building.
