The FEBT organizes for the next day May 26 the conference CARBON FOOTPRINT AND GHG EMISSIONS.
WHAT IS THE CARBON FOOTPRINT?
The carbon footprint is a measure of the greenhouse gas emissions that a company transmits into the atmosphere. These emissions are derived from the normal activity of the company in the manufacture of products or provision of services and are directly related to climate change.
WHY CALCULATE AND REGISTER THE CARBON FOOTPRINT?
• National and Balearic legislation establishes the obligation for large and medium-sized companies to register their carbon footprint as of January 1, 2022. This registration must be done before September 30 and, subsequently, each year.
• It is expected that the reduction of emissions and the carbon footprint will be incorporated in the Public Sector Contracts.
• It results in economic savings due to the reduction of energy consumption.
• Improves the corporate image.
• It represents a differentiating and competitive advantage against the increase in customers who are aware of the environment.
